PRESS RELEASE

FAITH MARTIN and JOFFE BOOKS

CELEBRATE 1 MILLION COPIES SOLD IN JUST OVER A YEAR

Leading independent publisher Joffe Books is delighted to announce author Faith Martin has achieved book sales of 1 million copies in just one year and one month.

The milestone has been reached in the same week as the final book of her Hillary Greene series is published: “Hillary’s Final Case.”

This is Joffe Books’ second author to hit 1 million copies (Joy Ellis was the first).

Joffe will launch Faith Martin’s new series of Jenny Starling mysteries in December.

Faith Martin: "I never in a million years thought we'd sell over a million copies in just over a year. I just want to thank all my readers, wherever on the planet you live, for taking Hillary Greene to your hearts the way you have. I really do feel very humble and - frankly stunned - for the great response there's been."

Her agent, Kate Nash comments: “Faith Martin’s artfully constructed stories are enjoyed by readers of all genders and ages and to have reached so many readers with her wonderful character DI Hillary Greene is no less than her talent deserves.”

About the author: Faith Martin was born in Oxford, and has spent all her life within twenty miles of the university city, even working at Somerville College for five years before turning to writing full-time. Her hobbies include walking her now ageing dog, wildlife-watching, reading and (reluctantly) gardening.
